QuantumConnect Technologies’ riser cables, also known as distribution tight buffer optical cables, range from 2 to 24 cores. Each core contains a 900-micron tight buffer fiber as the optical communication medium. The tight buffer fibers are wrapped with a layer of aramid yarn that serves as a strength member, and an outer jacket is provided with a layer of LSZH material for external protection.
